A French Bulldog Named Steve
Today I would like to show you Steve’s Forest Cabin, made from cardboard and recycled boxes.
First of all, in case you are wondering who this ‘Steve’ is, who keeps popping up in my work, let me explain. Steve was our French Bulldog, who sadly passed away in 2016. I still miss the little fella ever day, so I make a lot of things that remind me of him, and it makes me feel that he is still with us.
Okay, now that’s out of the way, let’s move on!
First of all, I would like to mention that the cabin and the papier-mâché model of Steve were made independently, at different times, so the scale doesn’t match.

「スティーブ」は私たちが飼っていたフレンチブルドッグで4年前に他界しました。私はあんまり悲しくって寂しくって、それ以来ずっといろんな「スティーブ」を作っています。それで「スティーブ」は今ではキャラクターとして私たちといつも一緒にいます。
それでは本題に…
作品の方ですが最初に休憩所を次に紙粘土でスティーブを、どちらも思いつきで作ったのでスケールとかは合っていません。
Recycled and Craft Materials
The materials used were corrugated cardboard, cardboard boxes (e.g. cereal boxes), aluminium foil, kitchen paper, PVA glue and acrylic paint.
使用した材料はダンボール、ツイグレットの空箱、シリアルなどの空箱、アルミホイル、キッチンペーパー、ノリ、そしてアクルル絵具で着色しました。

The roof can be removed.

There is a ceiling light in the room that can be turned on.
