Summer Diorama
It has been a while since I made a diorama card and, as it had been hot all day long, I wanted to make a summery card. By the time it was done, the weather had changed and I wondered if I should have made another steampunk card instead!
Creative Expressions
I bought the Creative Expressions stamps a while ago but, for some reason, couldn’t find a use for them until now because not every day is a llama day!

A Simple Diorama
The design is simpler than a usual card of this type and consists of just 3 layers (background, llama, frame). First, I chose some stamps and then I thought about the layout because this is especially important with a diorama card.
The Diorama Frame
I cut out the frame and masked the stamped images because I wanted to add a pattern using a stencil.
The Background
The background was coloured in the same way. As a result, the sun rays appear behind cacti and the pennant stamps.
The Layout
After that, I cut out the llamas and assembled the various elements.

Final Decoration
Finally, decorate and complete! It folds flat and will fit in a normal 5×7 envelope.
From Wikipedia
The word diorama /ˌdaɪəˈrɑːmə/ can either refer to a 19th-century mobile theatre device, or, in modern usage, a three-dimensional full-size or miniature model, sometimes enclosed in a glass showcase for a museum. The current, popular understanding of the term “diorama” denotes a partially three-dimensional, full-size replica or scale model of a landscape typically showing historical events, nature scenes or cityscapes, for purposes of education or entertainment.

My husband works for a language school and he always tells the students, if you don’t like the British weather, wait an hour!
Another beauty!
Thanks, Denise!
