Waterfall Card Featuring Illustrations of British Birds

Waterfall Card For My Father-in-Law’s Birthday

Waterfall Card front

I made a birds waterfall card for my father-in-law’s birthday. He loves bird-watching!

I made a video because it was hard to capture this card in photos.

Waterfall Card with handmade envelope

I made an envelope to match the card. The buckle that closes the card was made using a Tim Holtz embossing folder and has an inset magnet to keep it closed.

Cards and Papercraft Magazine

These are the stamps and design paper I used. They all came with the magazine. As soon as I saw the bird stamps, I decided to make this card for my father-in-law.

Happy birthday, Dad! x

  1. Another beautiful card, Nozomi. I think that the design and colours is perfect for a man. Especially if he likes bird-watching!

  2. Great work again, Nozomi! I love the way the pictures flip like that. I’ve been looking through your other stuff again. I amazed by all the different things you create. You have great imagination, I’m really impressed.

    • Thank you so much for your lovely comments once again, Pádraig! This was the first time I have used the ‘waterfall’ mechanism for a card, so I am glad it worked – especially as it was for my father-in-law!

  3. Absolutely gorgeous creation, love that the waterfall element is inside and the pull tab is part of the closure too! I have the RSPB stamp set, it’s perfect for male cards & I love using them … thanks for sharing the video … Steph x

    • Thanks, Steph! I tried taking photos from loads of different angles to try to capture the waterfall mechanism, but it wasn’t really working. Videos take time but they are worth it, I guess! x

  4. Wow, what a gorgeous card! Love the pattern paper, the stamps and your coloring! I bet your father was happy to get it :)
Thanks for sharing the video … Hugs (your new follower) Mariann
